Energy storage is primarily facilitated through batteries. They are machines that hold energy and release it when we want it. In the past few years, there have been numerous promising new types of batteries making energy storage even better.

One phenomenal new battery type is the solid-state batteries. What sets these batteries apart is that they use a solid, rather than a liquid, material. This alteration makes them safer to use, and helps them to function better. Solid-state batteries are also smaller and possess greater energy density than regular batteries. That means we’ll be able to use them in many more devices and applications.
